Here is another complaint from an apartment dweller in England:
"Our kitchen floor is damp. We have two children and would like a third. So
please send someone round to do something about it.."
Explanation: The real problem here is the damp floor (it feels wet and could cause
the children to get sick). However, the way this complaint is written, it seems the writer wants help in
having the third child! The last word "it" should be the last object - the third child. He probably doesn't
need help with having a third child. (I hope!) The writer should
take time to explain how the damp floor might hurt the children and explain clearly what needs to be
done to fix the problem.
