Learner's Mistake Nine
Jewels, Jewelery, Jewelers

This was in a student's report in business class:
"We chose jewelery shop because I like the jewelery and all women like the jewelers."
Explanation: Perhaps the last word should be "jewels" which are stones such as diamonds,
red rubies, or green emeralds. The word "jewelers", of course, means "the people (usually men?) who make jewelery"!
Do all women really love jewelers? I thought all women loved teachers!
(^_^) [The "er" at the end of "jeweler" is the same "er" at the end of "teacher" or "baker". Usually, when you
see this "er", you should think of a person.]
