Question: Why are men with pierced ears better suited for marriage?
["Pierced ears" are ears with little holes in them, so that you can wear earrings.]
Hint: Women traditionally have pierced ears more often than men but more and more men are getting their ears pierced and
wearing earrings. What experiences does that give them that men without pierced ears do not have?
After you think about it, look at the bottom of the page for the answer...
Answer: Because they have suffered and bought jewelry .
Explanation: They suffered when they got the hole put in their ears, so they are ready to suffer in their marriage,
too! And since they have bought earrings for themselves, they will certainly buy earrings, and other jewelry, for their
wives. Won't they?
