Challenging Riddle Four: Sporty Cinderella
|
|
Question: Question: Why would Cinderella be a terrible football player?
Hint: There are THREE answers to this riddle. Think of the story of Cinderella, who was treated so badly by her step-sisters,
but then met a handsome prince. What are some words we can use to describe Cinderella's experience AND football.
After you think about it, look at the bottom of the page for the answer...
Answer 1: She lost her shoe.
Answer 2: She ran away from the ball.
Answer 3: Her coach was a pumpkin.
Explanation: In the story, Cinderella lost her "glass slipper", but that's the same as a shoe, isn't it? The "ball"
that she ran away from was a party, not a football. The coach (like a car) that brought her to the ball turned back into
a pumpkin at midnight, which was why she had to run from the ball in the first place! In football, a coach is like a teacher,
and if you have a teacher (a coach) who is a pumpkin, that can't be good. Got it?
