Funny English Video Thirteen
"Bomb New York. Please!"

(These videos are best viewed with Internet Explorer.)
This is another story from the Onion News Network. (See Video Number 9 for more news from The Onion.) This news report is about a country music song that seems to be putting the U.S. against Al Qaeda. However, if you listen carefully, you will see the people in this video WANT Al Qaeda to attack New York City! It's actually showing the southern U.S. (where country music is very popular and which is the home of former President George W. Bush) against big northern cities like New York.
Error: Embedding videos/bombnewyork.wmv with the Windows Media Plugin failed.

Here are some sentences that I thought were very funny, because they show how amazingly selfish some people can be.

"I do think if every one in New York is killed it will bring the country together"

"I mean he (Osama bin Laden) could just reduce New York City to a pile o' rubble - it ain't gonna affect us much."

And from the song itself: "Bomb New York! Light up the New York sky, like the Fourth of July!"

They even give specific information on how to poison all of the water of the city! This video is meant to make people think. (Remember, The Onion is 100% fake!) What does it really mean to love your country? Is big, bold talk the most important thing? Or do actions speak louder than words?
